more pre-field
It is hard to believe that it is already 2012. As we look back over the last year we have a lot to be thankful for. As a family, we have had an incredible year. God has blessed us beyond what we could have ever imagined. We started and completed the application process for ABWE, attended candidate school and were appointed missionaries to Togo, West Africa, met team members going to Mango, went on a three week survey trip to Mango, Togo, attended Good Soil and the Missionary Enrichment Conference. Also, we began talking to Pastors in Sept. of 2011 and started visiting churches in Oct. All praise and glory to God!

One highlight this Christmas has been being involved in a Christmas Eve Celebration Service at one of the churches we had visited a month or so ago. The service was a quiet celebration with guitar, violin (Eric), and singing, to God’s gracious provision of the promised deliverer who was born that first Christmas morning – our Lord Jesus Christ.
Eric and I are starting a class called “Kingdom Come Training”. This is an intense (four days a week) three week class that will help train us how to better tell our story and to better convey effectively the things we will be doing in Mango, Togo. We will be in a “cyber” classroom (online) for 1 ½ each day with 1 ½ of homework each night. Please pray that we will be good students and that God would use these skills to help get us to the mission field sooner than later.

~Family News~
Our son Joshua came home from Baptist Bible College for Christmas and we had a wonderful time. He was only home for a little over a week (due to basketball). I had no idea that we had so many Christmas traditions. We had a hectic, enjoyable time trying to fit a month worth of actives into a week.
Thanks again for all of you that prayed for Daniel. I am happy to say that God has brought about complete healing. He has been off the allergy medicine and, Praise the Lord, he has not swollen or broken out in hives.
~Prayer Requests~
~ Wisdom during our class: Kingdom Come Training.
~That God would open the door for us as we look for churches to visit.
~That we would budget our time well – for the many tasks we need to accomplish, both for prefield, personally, and home.
~ Joshua at college (Baptist Bible College).
~ That God would continue to provide both prayer and financial support to get us to Togo and that we will use His resources wisely.
~For continued opportunities to be good witnesses now and the boldness to share the gospel.
